Welcome to the “Isola di Ghibli”

The Island of Favignana (Sicily) in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, is home to the Azienda Agricola “Isola di Ghibli”.

Its name honors the southerly wind blowing from the interior of the Africa crossing the Mediterranean and reaching the shores of the Favignana Island with its unforgivable strong bursts.

Our tenacious olive trees, located on a gentle graded slope exposed to the West, have grown steadily over the years adapting them self to the challenging natural conditions made of dry and hot summers and vigorous winter bursts of the Ghibli and northwesterly Mistral. This resulted in short, stout but luxuriant olive trees, which thanks to the wise and centuries-old mastery of local pruners yield a unique quality of olives.

We are very proud to produce a 100% natural oil of excellent quality to bring a unique taste of the Mediterranean sun, the sparkling burst of the Ghibli and the sea waves into your healthy dietary habits.

Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes from 600 olive trees located 600 meters from the sea where their exposure to the winds and the sea breeze during stormy days, give to our Oil a unique flavor where the saltiness of the sea mixes with the sweetness of the sun and the sound of the waves.

Our Oil is obtained from the Biancolilla, Cerasuola and Nocellara del Belice varieties resulting into a perfect balance of low acidity and extraordinary richness in mono-saturated fat.

Of a superior category, our oil is obtained by hand-picking and direct pressing of the olives and only by mechanical means. The Oil is cold extracted and unfiltered.
